We believe the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God. It is infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts, and sufficient for the life that God calls us to live in as followers of Christ. It is the foundation on which we build our lives and the final authority under which we live.

(2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Prov 30:5)

The BiblE

We believe in the Triune God: One God with three distinct persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three persons are equal in their divinity and perfection. God, the uncreated One, is sovereign over all things, knows all things, and controls all things. He alone is worthy of all worship, praise and adoration. Deut 6:4; Matt 3:16-17; Matt 28:19-20; John 1:1-3; Gen 1:1-2; Is 44:6; 1 Cor 8:6

God

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, who is sovereign over all things and graciously cares for and sustains everything he has made. God is the Father of everyone who believes in his Son, Jesus, and grants enduring faith to all those He calls to himself. Gen 1:1; John 1:1; Matt 6:9; Eph 4:6; Is 64:8; Eph 1:3; 1 John 3:1; 1 Peter 1:3; 2 Cor 6:18

God the Father

We believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God—conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and sent by the Father to redeem the world living as the perfect sacrifice to atone for man’s sin. He is fully God and fully man and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father waiting until the day when He shall return and judge the living and the dead. He alone is the mediator between us and God and the only way to eternal life. John 1:1-3 & 14; John 3:16; John 14:6; 1 Cor 8:6; John 20:31; Matt 1:23-25; Heb 4:15; Heb 12:2; Col 2:9; Phil 2:5-7; 1 Tim 2:5

God the Son, Jesus Christ

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Trinity, works to bring glory to God the Father and the Son, convicts the world of sin, regenerates hearts, indwells and empowers every believer, equipping the saints with gifts to complete the works for which we were prepared in advance to do, leads us in the way of truth and reminds us of what God has said. The Holy Spirit seals every believer until the day of redemption and performs the sanctifying work that flows from justification in every believer’s life. John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7-8, 14-15; Rom 8:9-14; 1 Cor 12:7; Eph 1:13-14; Eph 4:30

God the Holy Spirit

We believe that Jesus, sent by the will of God, came to live a perfect life, suffer under Pontius Pilate, be crucified, die and be buried to rise again on the third day to overcome sin, death and the grave. Jesus’ substitutionary sacrifice, results in eternal life, for all who trust in him, turn in repentance and obediently follow Him. Is 53:10-12; 2 Cor 5:2; Acts 2:28; Acts 4:12; John 3:16; Rom 10:9-10; Heb 2:2

Atonement

We believe that Jesus was crucified, died and was buried. He rose from the grave on the third day, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and conquered sin, death and the grave. He is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. One day, all who believe in him will be resurrected to eternal life and will see him face to face. 1 Cor 15:3-8; Rom 6:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Rom 8:11 & 34; John 11:25-26

Resurrection

We believe that God created every man and woman in his image and thus we all have intrinsic value and worth because of his divine design and blessing. We believe that God is the author of life and that gender, male and female, is determined by God and should not be altered. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were tempted by Satan, fell into sin and thus all humankind is born into sin and eternally separated from God. All humanity is sinful from birth, condemned to death and in desperate need of eternal rescue. Gen 1:27-28; Gen 3:1-6; Rom 3:23; Rom 5:12-21; Rom 6:23

Humanity

We believe that marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy is designed to be shared between a husband and wife. We also believe that both marriage and singleness are gifts given by God to bring him glory and to build up his church. Divorce is not God’s desire but was given as a means of protection for ungodliness in the marriage covenant. Gen 2:24; Matt 19:5-12; Eph 5:31; I Cor 7:2, 8-16

We believe that salvation comes through faith alone in Christ alone by grace alone. When we call on the name of Jesus and fully surrender to him, we shall be saved. Rom 10:9-10; Eph 2:8-9; Phil 2:12; Titus 3:5; John 14:6; Mark 16:16

Salvation

Last Things

We believe the church is the bride of Christ. She exists as a universal body of regenerated believers with Christ as her husband and the head. We believe in the local church, an expression of gathered believers who are baptized upon faith in Jesus, shepherded by pastors and elders and called to live out their faith together in biblical community. The primary call of the church is to proclaim the gospel and to make disciples of all nations. Col 1:18; Eph 2:19-22; Gal 3: 6-28; 1 Peter 5:1-5; Acts 2:42; 1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:7-9; Heb 10:23-25; Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8

The Church

We believe in a personal and visible return of Christ to the earth to establish his eternal Kingdom. Those who have died in Christ have gone to be with Christ and will be resurrected from death to be reunited with those who are still on earth at Jesus’ return. We believe in the resurrection of the body, a final judgement, eternal suffering for those who don’t know Jesus and eternal life filled with joy, pleasure and sinlessness for all who have been saved. Matt 16:27; Luke 23:43; Acts 1:11; 1 Thess 4:3-18; 1 Thess 5:2; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor 15:20,50-58; 2 Thess 1:7-10; Rev 20:11-15; Rev 21:1-9
